Rocky Mt Papandayang

Java is volcanic origin. In 1772, the most remarkable eruption of the mountain Papandayang occurred.
The annual meeting of Nusantara Photo Club this year was held in Bandung from 21st to 25th August 2006. One of the itineraries was a photographic outing to mountain Papandayang (2622 m.).

Today, the volcano of Papandayang is still in an active state of eruption. Columns of flame and fiery lava streams were seen rising from a mountain to a vast height. Stone falling for miles is a common scene in this area. In this series, I would like to share with you some of the spectacular landscape, which I captured during my recent visit.
