Getting Ready for Sunbathing

When the sun is out, everybody likes to go to the beach to sunbathe, especially in Australia it seems. And this is even so for those are dwelling in the cold countries. Bondi Beach, Sydney, a well-known and very popular beach in Australia was of no exception. No worries about suntanning and getting skin cancer! With the nice and cool breeze from the sea, such an environment is viewed as many as a good quality of life!

I captured a group of youngsters here getting ready to have a nice time. This is one of the colourful images that I captured during my visit in September 2003. I love the textures and pattern of the sand too.

Four Leaves Two Buds One Dragonfly

This is another image that I have captured from the Singapore Botanical Gardens during my visits last year.
The colours and pattern of the subject are all natural. The only thing that I am demonstrating here is my perception of an ordinary place but full of photographic potentials. This image is also served as sample of the effectiveness of top lighting condition. A polarizer was utilized to minimize the reflection of the water and increased the saturation of the colours.

Distinctive Architectural Design

It is interesting to know that the architectural design of the Sydney Opera House, NSW, Australia was inspired from slices of oranges and not (as commonly thought), on sails. One of the images that I captured during my visit in September 2003, was a long tele shot (250 mm Telyt lens on Leicaflex SL) of this distinctive design. The evening light has provided me with a nice touch of orange glow for this fabulous place. The darkened cloud-patterned sky in contrast, enhanced the image with even greater visual impact.
