Dieng Highlands, Central Java, is a plateau 2200 meters above sea level. This image was taken at the reservoir in this area. I like the richness of the colourful reflections. The boatmen were set up to provide human interest of this serene landscape. No additional Photoshop treatment was performed.
The golden touch of the morning sun provided warm colours for the whole image. The water sprinkle further enhanced the visual impact of the picture. I caught this picture of a farmer hard at work watering his vegetable plantation first thing in the morning during my visit to Dieng Highland, Central Java in 2002. I was there to attend the Annual Meeting and outing of the Nusantara Photo Club. The NPC 2005 annual meeting is scheduled to be held in September in the Central Java area follow by yet another outing in the region.
This is not a battleground scene but just a misty one of the Mount Bromo area. For those of you who enjoyed seeing my previous posting of images of Mount Bromo, you will most probably like this one as well. I personally think that a good colour image does not necessarily need to have gorgeous colours. The monochromatic effect of an image could also achieve a strong visual impact.
