An Unique Post

The Masai giraffe also called Kilimanjaro giraffe, is the largest subspecies of giraffe native to East Africa, also the tallest land mammal. The Masai giraffe can be found in central and southern Kenya and in Tanzania. It has distinctive, irregular, jagged, star-like blotches which extend to the hooves. I captured this image at the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, Africa, simply I was attracted by the unique post of the giraffe.

Yellow-billed Oxpecker

Yellow-billed oxpeckers are quite common and can be found throughout Africa. These beautiful birds eat the insects and ticks that live on giraffe. They perch on large wild and domesticated mammals such as cattle and eating arthropod parasites. The birds will also perch on antelopes such as wildebeest. All these and many others host the oxpecker or tickbird. An image that I captured during my safari trip to Serengeti National Park,Tanzania,Africa.
