Gorgeous Colour of Nebo Loop

I think the beauty of Nebo Loop Scenic Byway is actually another feast of landscape scene that a photographer would not like to miss.I drove from Bryce Canyon on the way back to Salt Lake City and I decided to explore this location along the recommended scenic drive. My first sight of Nebo was impressive. Most probably was due to the gorgeous colour of the falls. The snow mountain right across the opposite side is so near when you reach the latitude of 9000 ft. . A stop at the recommended look up point is really fruitful.

Gigantic Rock Against The Landscape Arch

Best time to photograph Landscape Arch is in the morning. But I reached the arch in the afternoon. I deliberately captured the Landscape Arch in silhouette and used as a backdrop of the image. In contrast, I utilized a gigantic rock, which was sufficient lit with reflected light from the surrounding, as the foreground. The differences in size and lighting ratio obviously has created a different visual impact.

Snake River Revisited

I went back to Snake River recently (last visit was in 1981). I managed to capture another image of this location to my satisfaction. The colour of the falls is what I like best for this beautiful landscape. Certainly, the lighting is the essential factor for this image as well.
