When we arrived the Rocky Mountain National Park, USA, was just in time for the sunset.
I decided to use the tree as a silhouette in the foreground. I mounted the super wide angle lens with the camera on tripod and a low shooting angle was selected. Bracket the normal exposure with plus and minus two stops for three frames within a split of second. The end result shown here is the merger of the HDR images with the brightness and contrast adjusted.
The Great Sand Dunes National Park is one of the attractions in Colorado, USA, for photographers. I think the common approach is to capture the lines, pattern, shades and texture of the sand dunes. I personally prefer to include the mountain as a backdrop in order to have good colour contrast to the image. This is my first impression of the Great Sand Dunes.
By now, the autumn colour of Aspen in Colorado, USA has disappeared for quite sometime. You may have to wait for next autumn before you could enjoy the gorgeous colour again. Nevertheless, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to all friends for a brighter and prosperous year ahead in 2012. Happy New Year!
