I always search for a silhouette as a foreground of the sunrise image. From the vantage angle of my apartment,I was able to capture the image of sunrise with the buildings in silhouette as a foreground. On 28 12 2020 morning, the rising sun was much softer. Are you able to differentiate the difference between sunrise and sunset image? Years ago, a veteran in photography ever made a wrong judgement in front of a guest of honour at an opening when they were viewing my exhibit. So be cautious!

The shape of the cloud in the sky is interesting to me. The interpretation is all depends on your perception. On 02 11 2021 at Upper Peirce Reservoir , I was attracted by this amazing formation of the cloud in the sky. Such a phenomenon is changing fast. I spot the scene and captured it almost immediately. To me, including the silhouette of trees at the lower left corner is well balanced composition.

I always admire the colour and shapes of cloud in the sky especially before the rising sun appeared. Simply, due to the fast changing phenomenon of the landscape. To freeze the decisive moment into a permanent image is my challenge in photography.
