Morning Catch

I captured another nature image at the Lower Seletar Reservoir on 13 Dec 2020. This time is an Ibis actively having an early catch. Obviously, I like the fully spread-wings. The soft morning light touched the bird and gave a very pleasing result. The reflections in the water further enhanced and gave a greater impact to the image. For me is another satisfaction of “early bird catches the Worm”.

Keep Searching

Last time I spotted a similar bird shown here was in Xiamen, Fujian, China, two years ago. This time the image was captured at the Lower Seletar Reservoir on 30 Oct 2020. I observed the movement of the bird for a while. Hopefully to have an image of the bird with the morning catch. But my expectation never happened. To me, the bird was not as lucky as the otters in the water always enjoying fresh seafood in the water. Nevertheless, the brilliant morning lighting created the impact for my image.

An Unusual Encounter

I was attracted by the setting of a spider approaching the dragonfly on the different plane of a leave. I have seen young tiny dragonfly trapped on the spider web. Obviously, this dragonfly as a prey was too big for the spider. To me is an unusual sight in the nature world. A colourful image that I captured on 26 Nov 2020 at the Lower Seletar Reservoir.
