A Second Before Landing

I like to capture image of dragonfly in action. Orientation of movement after my observation, another image of dragonfly in flight was captured. Fast shuttle speed combined with small aperture setting is a prerequisite for capturing such an image. I prefer to use my long tele-lens and stay sufficient distance away from the subject. Anticipation of the right moment is also important for freezing the decisive moment. This image was captured at the Lower Seletar Reservoir Park on 18 05 2021.

Departing For Maintenance

I anticipated such a happening first thing in the morning when I gone back to the Lower Peirce Reservoir this morning (10 05 2021). After perusing the environment, I decided to use a high vantage angle to capture this image. Waited for the decisive moment to freeze the action was the next thing that I had in mind. I like the pattern and details of the of the final image. Though the morning light was still very soft, the sufficient high light and contrast still provided a greater visual impact for the image.
