The moment I arrived at the Discovery Slides at the Canopy Park, Jewel, Singapore Changi Airport, on 12 Jan 2022, the lighting was just perfect for the reflections.
I was fascinated by the illusion effect of the reflections from my vantage angle. I think, such an image depends very much on your perception.
I have not been to Changi Jewel for more than two years. On 12 Jan 2022, I had an opportunity to visit the attraction again. This particular trip mainly was to explore the Canopy Park. The interesting reflections at the Discovery Slides in the park attracted me to capture a number of images with strong sensation of illusion. The unusual impact of the colourful reflections are everchanging depending on your vantage angle on capturing the image. I am sure you would not miss my own reflected image as shown in this vibrant picture.
27 Aug 2021 morning at the Lower Seletar Reservoir, the rays of rising sun together with its reflection attracted me and initiated my concept of capturing another striking landscape image. From my vantage angle, I decided to utilise the nearer tree truck on the right side to lead the attention to the further left. The warmest touch of morning light on the tree trunk further enhanced the image. The silhouette figure of the seated person added interest to the whole image. I just simply like the tranquil mood of the Reservoir first thing in the morning.
