Lighting in architecture photography plays a very important part in achieving a strong visual impact. While strolling along the canal of Birmingham, UK, I came cross this well lit building. Good contrast and colourful panels gave a perfect presentation of the building. Most importantly, the bird flew into the frame added extra interest to the whole image.
Webb Bridge, Docklands Victoria, Australia, is an award winning design pedestrian/cycle bridge created by the architects and the artist. Just a stone’s throw away from the apartment that I stayed, I spent my morning stroll down to this project Melbourne can be proud of.
The morning light beamed through the bridge with sparkle against the saturated blue sky.
To me, the reflection of the bridge enhanced my image further with a greater visual impact.
I captured my first image of London Bridge, Great Ocean Road, Peterborough, Victoria, Australia. in 1986. After Years of erosion, the London Bridge finally collapsed in 1990 and became a bridge without a middle. Originally a natural archway and tunnel in an impressive offshore rock formation. Before the collapse, visitors to the site were able to walk across ‘the eastern bridge’ that stretched across to the mainland. When the accident happened, a couple was trapped over the bridge. They were finally rescued with a helicopter by the authority.
Recently, I was very pleased to capture this amazing nature wonder on a very fine day during my third visit.
