Devotees at The Nine Emperor Gods Temple

Devotees at The Nine Emperor Gods Temple
Annual Nine Emperor Gods Festival was one my favorite subjects for photography in the seventies. I think the polluted smoky environment of the temple in door filled with devotees has created a strong visual impact for photography. The shaft of light from the rooftop opening that happened only at the certain time of the day further enhanced the pictorial quality.

Dawn At Yio Chu Kang

Dawn At Yio Chu Kang
In 1990, I remember a number of morning when I was leaving home for work, I was attracted by this scene opposite Begonia Road. Not until one Sunday morning, I decided to capture on film when the atmosphere was just right. Since then, the environment has changed and I don’t remember of seeing this scene anymore. Another image of mine captured at the right place right on time.
