Arriving In Papuma

Early in the morning, the busy fishing port at Papuma, East Java, Indonesia is quite unique.
The fishing boats have its own character which is different from other ports in Indonesia.
I love the setting of this image. Though the image seen here is monochromatic, the perfect separation of boats against the misty backdrop created a strong visual impact with depth. The silhouette of the fishermen further added interest to this lovely image that I have captured.

Batik Painting

Inside the batik factory, the painting of the batik is one of main processes of producing batik dress. For photographers, such a natural setting is an opportunity of capturing a colourful image. To me, I always scout for good lighting and suitable backdrops for the image. This is one of the images that I captured in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, during my visit to the factory.
