Egret is the city bird of Xiamen, China. There are hundreds of egret residing in the town centre of Xiamen. If capturing image of egret is your cup of tea, this is the place not to be missed. At a close distance, you could have images of egret at different stage of their life.
When we arrived 福州市平潭县敖东镇大福湾，Da Fu Wan, Pingtan Island, Fuzhou，China, was just in time for the twilight. Due to bad weather, all the fishing boats were in the wharf. Actually on a fine day, this location is a holiday resort of the island. Fortunately, we were able to capture the twilight of the bay. The Overseas Chinese Photo Society,China, has established this place as the the base of their future activities. Our recent visit is through the courtesy of the Society.
Sanfang Qixiang, 福州三坊七巷 in Fuzhou, China is one of the unique attractions in Fujian. This old town originally built in Ming and Qing Dynasty is the heritage and root of culture for Fuzhou. Unfortunately, the heritage of this old town has been invaded by the modern business such as Starbucks. As seen here, the colourful famous Fuzhou paper umbrellas (discoloured by the sunlight) are still awesome under the bight sunlight. The Third Photography Exhibition of World Overseas Chinese sponsored by the China Overseas Chinese Photographic Society, is held here recently.
