As mentioned in my previous posting, a visitor to the Expo 2010, Shanghai ended up in this stage is quite an interesting sight to me. Fortunately, myself still survived for my 2nd trip to the Expo 2010. I am going back to the Expo 2010 again from October, 29 to 31 for the 3rd visit.
A visit to 上海新场古镇 New Street Town, Shanghai is a feast for a photographer. The old town actually is 36 Km away from the city centre. The heritage town is one of the remaining old town in spite of the tremendous development of Shanghai. Comparing to other old towns in Shanghai districts, 上海新场古镇 New Street Town is not invaded heavily by tourist yet. I love the natural setting of the happening in this old town. My sincere thanks to Sun Weizhong and his wife for showing me around of this attraction of Shanghai.
I captured this image during one of my visits to KK Market (Tekka Market) recently. Though selling pocket tissue may not have regarded as begging, I think is another way of getting paid with one’s mercy. I was surprised to heard over the radio that a monthly income of a beggar is as much as ten thousands dollars MYR in Malaysia. after deducting the fee that paid to the syndicates. I am astonishing to know that they are foreigners residing in the country. So think twice before you part your dollars and cents out of goodwill.
