Morning exercise at Botanic Gardens was very popular in the nineties. In capturing such an image, you had to be at the Gardens before seven. The group usually dispersed after the sunrise. I captured this image at the Festival on 25th Aug 1996. The PM and Ministers of Singapore kicked off the Festival at Marina South. When the buffaloes went off of the track, the rider was thrown out of the cart. Fortunately, he was not serious injured. But his dream of winning the Makepung race in Bali, obviously has been shattered.
