Laundry Day At Lake Toba

Laundry Day At Lake Toba
Lake Toba is 100 kilometres long, 30 kilometres wide, and up to 505 metres (1,666 ft) deep. It is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.
Besides beautiful landscape at various locations, the locals obviously make full use of the water from the lake. I think the water for laundry here is not only free but also allow you to enjoy the cohesion of the family. To me, apparently, such a daily task against the back drop of scenic view is an enjoyment.

Performers At Singapore Youth Festival
I captured this image during the same period of “Mass Display of Singapore Youth Festival”. One of my prize winning image “The Only Girl In White” was also captured at the same event.
It is interesting to note that the SYF was first launched on 18 July 1967 by then President of Singapore Yusof Ishak, and was initially a two-week affair involving 24,000 students that year.
