Reading at Leisure

Whenever I travel, I like to look out from my hotel window to explore the potential of creating images. The above image is just one of those I caught right outside my window. After a hard day’s session at the 1999 PSA Convention in Toronto, I found this image just right below the balcony of my hotel room. I love the golden touch of the late sunshine.

Impression of Lowrey

When we mention Manchester, the first thing that strikes many local football fans’ mind would be that of the Manchester United football team. I have visited Manchester many times partly because of my elder son, Eng Kien, who pursued his medical degree at the University of Manchester from 1992 to 1997. I went back to Manchester again in 2003. Visiting the Lowrey area, I was greatly impressed with the brand new architectural additions over there. I captured this image simply because of the good geometrical designs and colour contrast of the setting. The usually gloomy UK weather seemed to have disappeared all of a sudden and I was greeted with such a brightly-lit lighting condition.
