Serenity
This is one of the slides that I took during my visit to Victoria, Australia in 1990. I love the mood and colours of the image. The difference between the light and shade has created a strong sense of depth for the whole image.

One of the must-dos at Mount Tai in China is to watch the spectacular sunrise there. Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to do so during my visit in 1983 because of poor weather conditions. Instead, I managed to capture this magnificent landscape from a higher altitude. I think that it is a photographic challenge to capture the different layers of the image with good exposure accuracy.
This image was one the prints that was exhibited at the “Distinguished ASEAN Photographers” event of The Festival of Arts held at the National Museum, in 1992. The sunrise in this image was so soft that even a veteran photographer was fooled into thinking that it was sunset instead. Since this picture was taken fourteen years ago, a pavilion has been built for the anglers at the same site.
