Iron and Steel
This is a montage of three films. A piece of high contrast ortho-film for the image of the frame, a orange diazochrome film and the original image of the worker, all mounted on top of each other to create this contemporary effect. This creation won the Best Contemporary Gold Medal of the 18th Wichita International Salon, USA, held in 1975.
This is another example of the usage of colour derivation with violet diazochrome film to enhance the visual impact of the original image. Obviously the panel of judges of 6th Como International Salon, Italy (1969), endorsed my creative approach and awarded this slide a Gold Medal at the exhibition! This is one of the National Gallery, Singapore, Permanent Collections.
