An Elaborately Constructed Nest

It is interesting to note that the male weaver bird created the nest to attract the opposite sex. Making a knot with a long blade of grass follow by a circular structure by weaving blades using this beak and feet. The bird actually using a variety of plants to build his nest.To complete the nest, usually takes about two days. Males will build between five to ten nests and what for a female to visit them and pick it up. The male will destroy the nest if it is not occupied by the female. Then, a new one will be built. More than fifty nests may be built in one bleeding season.
I captured this image outside my lodge at the Ndutu Safari Lodge, Tanzania, East Africa, before I started the safari trip last week.
