Crater Of Kawah Putih

One of the itineraries of the Nusantara Photo Club annual outing this year is to visit Kawah Putih (with an elevation of 2359 m), Ciwidey, located at about 30 km to the south of Bandung, west Java – Indonesia.This is one of the crater lakes formed by explosive excavation. The water with an approximate depth of 8m, is hyperacid. The condition of the water is the result from the condensation of SO2, H, S, and HCL gases near the lake bottom. I would like to share with you one of the images that I captured during my recent visit.
