The Sunshine Before The Storm

Just returned from my trip to Scotland, UK, where I spent two weeks, first attending a conference in Glasgow, and then touring Scotland with my parents and brother. So, apologies for the lack of updates to the site!

Anyway, here is something that I took during my trip… Travelling between Aberdeen and Dundee, we stopped by this strawberry farm to pick our own strawberries to eat! While my brother and mum busied themselves collecting the strawberries, my dad and I were busy capturing the dramatic weather changes that was taking place. I took this shot just as the sun broke through the gloomy cloud cover over the strawberry and wheat fields. I like the contrast between the brilliantly lit foreground against the dark and dramatic skies in the background. The lines and patterns formed by the different coloured patches of vegetation form the basis of the composition of this shot.
