Storming Over The Golden Fields
More Scotland landscapes… This was taken at a strawberry farm that we stopped over on our way from Aberdeen to Dundee. I posted a shot of this scene almost two years ago. Looking through my old archives, I thought this alternative version looked a little more interesting composition-wise. Let me know what you think!
I like this one better. more details in the cloud and the lighting on the foreground is better. However, i thought a tigher crop on the foreground ( or zoom in fact) is better as i felt the trees in the background had too much weight in this plus the foreground lack some interesting details which could be revealed through the tele.
I like this one Eng Loy. Beautiful gentle curve to the hill and gorgeous texture to the wheat(?)
Thanks guys 🙂 I processed this one with a little bit more work on balancing the lighting between the foreground and the background skies.
jcyrhs: I beg to differ on your opinion that the foreground lacks interesting details. I liked the texture of the crops at the front (not sure whether if it was wheat) which added a little additional dimension to the overall scene. I think Paul appreciated that 🙂
i like the texture too but i was craving for more i suppose.
I like the contrast in both colors and texture between field and sky. Very nice work.
Thanks James 🙂
