Ready For Take Off
Having some free time while on vacation leave, I decided to venture out for some photography this morning. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best for shooting pictures. I ended up wandering over to the Changi International Airport for a look-see. I remember drawing pictures of the control tower as a kid when the airport first opened in 1981. Now, 27 years later, here I am taking pictures of the control tower from Terminal 3, which opened earlier this year. The gloomy weather today made up for my lack of lighting for photography by providing a dark backdrop for this particular photo. I like the inter-play between the different colours in the final shot 😀
well, you are right that the gloomy weather provided a great backdrop for your tower. Interesting perspective but had the “ball” on the tower been shown fully, the contrast between the shapes and lines will work much better in your favour.
Thanks for the comment 🙂 I do actually have a version with the “ball” in full view, but the perspective of that particular shot was altered by just the mere sideways movement I made to unveil the “ball”. In the end, I decided that I liked the perspective of this shot more, and that finally outweighed the decision to keep the “ball” in full view.
