Preparing to Set Sail
It has been quite a while since I did travel photography. Looking through some old pictures yesterday brought back some memories of my trip to Scotland in July 2004. I decided to bring out some old files to reprocess. The above was taken at Kyle of Lochalsh on our way to the Isle of Skye. Kyle of Lochalsh had been the location of a ferry link to Skye since 1600. The Skye Bridge, linking Skye with the mainland of Scotland, opened in 1995 and can be seen in the background of this shot. This bridge virtually replaced the ferry link as a mode of transport to the Isle of Skye across.
