Zzzzz….

This gentleman (with vitiligo, a skin depigmentation disorder) was so absorbed in his nap on a hot Sunday morning near the Ang Mo Kio market that he hardly budged at all while passers-by walked by. I can hardly say the same for a cobbler and his assistant, who were seated just a couple of metres away; they got edgy when I pointed my camera towards them (hey… they were in a public place anyway :p) with the cobbler threatening to literally clobber me even when I protested that I was not taking pictures of them!

Travel

Sometimes, photography can be about repeating shots/angles that you might have come across… a sort of “I must get my very own version of what others might have tried” kind of feel…

I came across something similar to the above on another photoblog. Taken at the underpass linking Fullerton Hotel to the One Fullerton restaurant complex after Valentine’s Day dinner with CY, I do wish that I had a tripod then so that some elements in the shot might have been exposed sharp in contrast to the motion streaks. This was taken handheld as it is… I might consider revisiting this scene again when I get the chance!

At Play

Right before the Chinese New Year, lots of colourful makeshifts tents/stalls can be seen set up around many neighbourhoods, selling New Year stuff, clothing, goodies and snacks. These stalls became a colourful setting for these kids who were playing in the brilliant sunshine. I love the brilliant lighting the almost mid-day sun provided for their actions.
