Morning Tracks
I am back from a trip to the UK (again). Taking a side trip to Devon & Cornwall with my father after attending a work conference, I retraced the steps of a previous trip to Cornwall in reverse, this time heading westwards from Bath towards St Ives along the A39, a drive that has been described as one of the “greatest driving roads“. Our first stop on this trip was Minehead, which lies on the south bank of the Bristol Channel. We had wanted to take advantage of the proximity of our hotel to the beachfront to take some morning photographs. The constantly changing weather (alternating rapidly between rain and sunshine) made it a tough challenge! Just when we were heading back to our hotel, brilliant sunlight greeted us, flooding the view of the Minehead Railway Station tracks. I love how the backlight rendered the scene almost completely monochromatic, leaving only a light hint of colour in the background of the shot.
