Liquid Gold
I had my gear all packed for a visit to the new Marina Barrage last weekend for some photography but was disappointed by foul weather. Back home, I decided to try some abstract photography with rain water droplets on a window pane. I initially attempted to recreate this picture that I did a couple of years ago. Ultimately, I was more happy with this particular shot with a different view. The colours presented are as they are: the golden glow came from the street lamps along the expressway outside.
Very nice! Did you use any filters/reflectors? I’m amazed that the water droplets look more like liquid gold/metal rather than see-through. Shame about the dirty water stains on the glass though.
Hi Hong Yee! Thanks for dropping by. Nope, I didn’t have to use any filters/reflectors. I think the reason why the liquid droplets looked that way was because of the rows of streetlamps along the expressway outside
The glow from the sodium vapour lamps did the trick! I actually thought that the water stains added additional contrast/textures to the beads of “liquid gold” really
