Give Me A Sign
I have been wanting to get good glass at a focal length of 300mm for quite some time, especially after I moved up to full-frame with the 5D Mark III — the absence of the focal length “multipler” effect meant that I no longer have the reach I used to have with my older DSLRs. I finally got that “dream-lens” yesterday. Venturing out to the Marina Barrage for some pictures this morning, I caught sight of this lone heron by the pier at the reservoir. The longer reach of the lens certainly came in useful 🙂
I love this, a beautiful bird making full use of a man made location.
Thanks, Tony. The heron seemed pretty lonely — I didn’t see another one nearby at all. I spent the next 10 minutes hoping to catch it flying off the platform but never did manage to get that shot I was hoping for.
