Face Off
This was taken along one of the beaches of Western Australia as my dad and I headed north of Perth (towards the Pinnacles Desert) during our trip there in November 2003. The face-like shape of the rock was already interesting on its own right. Little did we realise that the “hair” was home to a nest of seagulls! I caught this shot of one of the gulls “facing-off” with the rock, a big print of which now hangs decorating the wall in my bedroom
Update 25 Sep 2007: This picture has been entered in the latest Photo Friday Challenge titled “The Beach”. Please vote for me if you like this shot
wow. The rock face seems to be pouting.
OT: do you give classes for/mentor amateur photographers?
Thanks for sharing this Eng Loy. I didn’t get to stop on the way to the pinnacles so I had no idea what I was missing.
Beautiful composition.
This is rather magnificent. The composition of the photo elements are actually speaking to me, though i doubt i fully understand their language. Great one!
Thanks guys
ashwin: haha… I haven’t found the time to do so, although it would be interesting to do so. Something I could perhaps consider when I’m done with my exams
There are so many nice aspects to this photo – the colors, the lighting, the pleasing arrangement of shape and form.
The composition’s really good on this one. Not to mention the subject is really interesting!
