Statement of Intent
From the arrangement and lighting of greenery in nature, the patterns generated by man-made architecture, to the spontaneity of human activity and Man’s interaction with his environment, numerous opportunities for creating visually-interesting art exist in our immediate surroundings. This portfolio showcases the abundance of such opportunities from a plethora of subjects including flora in their natural habitat, Man and his architectural creations, and the candid interaction of people with one another as well as with their environment. By exploring a variety of lighting situations and interesting visual angles, together with the observation of colours, patterns, arrangements and candid human behaviour, the pictures serve to illustrate that expression through visual art is not simply confined to artists, designers, painters and the like, but is also readily available to those who actively seek it.
