Waving Goodbye
Taken at the same place as this shot… I will soon be making my extended sojourn away from home for the sake of professional/career development. I am wishing that my DSLR kit can travel with me but I am forced to make the difficult decision of leaving it behind for the sake of travel mobility. My Canon G10 and S90 will come along though. Hopefully, the equipment limitation will be a way to squeeze out better photography from me. I hope to get reunited with my DSLR once I get settled down.

Brightly Dressed For Work
Taken at the same place as this shot, but with a much closer view isolating these two brightly dressed workers. I love the bright colours. There must be a reason why these workers are dressed so brightly. I speculate that it is for them to be spotted easily from afar should an accident happen to them while they are working in the field.

Colourful Performer

Theatre and dance are part and parcel of Balinese culture with the Barong dance being one of the most familiar dances that most tourists visiting Bali will encounter. Taking pictures at these dance performances is never easy. For the above shot, I was happy with the expression that I managed to catch but I didn’t really like the distracting background of the original shot. In the end, I decided to do a little post-processing to tone down the background and bring attention to the colourful performer and her expression.
