Lunching At Work

Lunching At Work
From our family trip to Perth, Australia, earlier this year… Photography while travelling with a toddler in tow is definitely more challenging. However, the extra responsibility did not stop me from noticing this scene during our visit to the Fremantle Market of a bored-looking lady tending her stall while getting her lunch. The expression on her face, the lighting as well as the colourful display attracted me to take this picture. The “stealth” capability of a much smaller micro-4/3 system also allowed me to take the shot without attracting her attention 😛

The Coliseum at Dusk

The Coliseum at Dusk
A picture from our recent family vacation to Hong Kong… I deliberated before our trip which camera to bring along, the 5D Mark IV or the Lumix GX8. Ultimately, I decided to bring the Lumix GX8 because of the need to convert half of my camera backpack into a toddler’s supply pack 😛 The size of the GX8 was handy especially since I did not have the luxury of bringing a full-size tripod with me. Using a tiny pocket tripod, I was able to mount the much tinier GX8 onto a hand railing to catch night scenes from the comfort of our hotel swimming pool deck.

Late Afternoon Mood At Llynnau Mymbyr

Late Afternoon Mood At Llynnau Mymbyr
I made a return trip to Wales earlier this month having last visited four years ago. One of the places I made sure to revisit was Llynnau Mymbyr in Snowdonia National Park. The nice thing about this place is its accessibility — compared to many scenic spots which usually involves long hikes to get to, the spot where I took this picture was literally a short walk away from our parked rental car.
