Taken on vacation trips
After reading the same Photography Monthly article I mentioned in this post, the other building picture I wanted to catch on my trip to Manchester, UK, was that of the Imperial War Musuem. We reached there early after breakfast and was rewarded with a brief moment of sunshine. I love the warm glow the sun has cast on the otherwise monochromatic buildings.
I had this picture in mind when I came across this scene at the new BBC Building in Glasgow, located on the opposite side of the Clyde River, across the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). This time round, I wasn’t lucky enough to get two candid human subjects to add to the picture though. The lighting conditions were different too – for this shot, I had to do some HDR processing due to the lighting ratio. I like the final effect I managed to achieve though, as well as the lines and patterns in the composition 😀
Another view of the Expressions art exhibit at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, UK… this one made particularly easy with the twist-and-flip LCD screen of the Powershot S5. This is certainly one of the big features which I miss on my DSLR. I love the arrangement of the heads in what seemed to me like an interrogation session in full-swing.
