The Opera House At Dusk

The Opera House At Dusk
Apologies for the lack of updates as I have been away in Sydney, Australia, for a work-related trip. In between work, I did manage to capture some nice pictures… To start off the series, this is a picture of the iconic Sydney Opera House that I captured at dusk from Circular Quay. I was rather pleased with the way the colours of dusk turned out on the shot. As I did not bring my tripod with me on this trip, I had to push the ISO to 1600 to comfortably take a handheld shot. Lightroom did a great job at reducing the noise to a pleasant level 🙂

Fireworks, Third Time Lucky…

Fireworks, Third Time Lucky...
My third visit to the same area in the same number of weeks looking to capture the fireworks rehearsals before Singapore’s 44th National Day turned out to be literally third time lucky. I had initially wanted to try my luck at the Marina Barrage but found the place already filled to the brim when I arrived. We eventually headed and ended up having dinner at a posh restaurant at Clifford Pier. The food wasn’t exactly cheap, but what made up for it was the access to the pier overlooking the Marina Bay area, which provided the right location to capture the fireworks I was intending to catch. The above is a montage of two pictures I took that night.
