This is a close-up macro of a cacti display at the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow. I did not bring a tripod with me that day but managed to get a sharp shot by cranking up the ISO settings and using a relatively faster shutter speed. Thankfully, I had the time to take multiple shots and was lucky to get one that is pin-sharp.
Dad and I enjoyed a short little session of photography while waiting for the rest of our driving tour group at a pomelo plantation in Ipoh, Malaysia. Making use of one of our tour member’s black car as a backdrop, I managed to capture this dramatically lit leaf on the farm’s wire fence.
You know Spring has arrived… when the carnations in the balcony-garden start to bloom gloriously.
