Twilight Over The Clyde Arc Revisited

Twilight Over The Clyde Arc Revisited
After I put up the previous post, Dad commented that he found the light trials a little overbearing. I decided to put up this version sans light trials for a comparison. Getting the two shots post-processed to similar settings was a cinch with CaptureOne although I had to do some additional touching up in Photoshop to remove some light flares and sensor dirt. Which one do you prefer? 🙂

Twilight Over The Clyde Arc

Twilight Over The Clyde Arc
I have just gotten back earlier this week from a trip to Glasgow and London with some new photos to share 😀

This was taken on the Clyde Arc in Glasgow. We originally set off on a evening trip to capture the night scenery along the River Clyde at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). While waiting for twilight to arrive, we were caught more by the imposing sight of the Clyde Arc bridge instead. Twilight came a little late though since it’s summer (almost at midnight) by which time we were literally freezing in the cold! However, the final shot I got was certainly rewarding for the trouble we went through 🙂

As an aside, I last visited the same area in 2004. At the time, the Clyde Arc wasn’t even built yet!
