Dance Of The Clouds

Dance Of The Clouds
The sky might have been “bland” in my previous post (although I still love the colours and the silhouettes!), but the clouds finally decided to put on a spectacular show for us in the evening. This is one of many shots I took as the sun descended over the village nearby our hotel in the Cemoro Lawang area. The cloud patterns changed very quickly over a short span of minutes — I will post more pictures for comparison in the near future 😀

Good Morning Bromo

Good Morning Bromo
One of the must-dos when visitng Mount Bromo: get up at 4am, take either a horse or jeep to the foot of the mountain, and trudge up the mountain in the dark. Your reward: pristine clear skies with thousands of twinkling stars (sometimes a shooting star or two if you’re lucky) during the climb, and a glorious sunrise when you finally arrive. This particular shot of sunrise at Mount Bromo was taken at about 5.30am just slightly after we arrived from our climb.

Golden Lollipop

Golden Lollipop
Even before we arrived at Mount Bromo, we were already treated to a visual feast of wonderful lighting and colours. As we ascended from Probolingo to Cemoro Lawang (towards our accomodation at the Lava View Lodge), we were constantly distracted by beautiful scenery and photo-opportunities as the “golden hours” approached. We stopped our transport by the roadside numerous times to take pictures. This particular one was taken standing in the crop field of one of the farms in the area. I had a hard time thinking of a caption for this one, so unless you have a better suggestion, Golden Lollipop it will be for now 😛
