Morning Walk

This was taken at the park near Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 / Mayflower estate. Dropping my mum at the market nearby, I took a short walk nearby and chanced upon this curved path at the park. I like the quality of the morning light filtering through the canopy of trees. A morning stroller added a human touch to the scene.

No. 1 Brand Kid

I finally took the plunge… and bought myself my first Canon “L” lens. After buying my Sigma 70-300mm lens more than a year ago, I found myself increasingly using such a focal length range for many of my shots (almost neglecting the 28-135mm lens that used to be my workhorse!). While the Sigma had good reach, it was a let down in the sharpness department when it came to apertures wider than f/8. The Canon 70-200mm f/4 L definitely has no such problems there! The only thing I will miss is the extra 100mm reach between 200-300mm…

Check Out Those Chicks!

I have always loved the high angles and refreshing perspective that I can inject into my pictures taken at the Tekka Market in Singapore. When rain decided to make a bad day for outdoor photography in my recent outing, I decided to head back once again to Tekka Market for some indoor shots. Adopting a slightly different approach this time, I used a long exposure to capture the movement of the bustling crowd. The above is a result of a montage of two pictures and some post-processing work done in Photoshop. Hope you can make out the chick(en)s on sale at this picture size.

Thanks to dearest CY for brainstorming on the picture title! 🙂
