Dangling From The Window

Dangling From The Window
I caught sight of someone hanging out her laundry from the window while on my morning trip to the Cantonment Road area two Sundays ago. Unfortunately, I was too far away to capture the nicely-lit candid moment. My compensation was the above shot that I captured when I got much closer. I like the elements of the composition (the window, the air-conditioner and the laundry) as well as the quality of the morning sunlight that illuminated what might otherwise have been a very mundane scene.

No Entry (Except Seniors)
The quality of the early morning light at Cantonment Road has kept distracting me on my drive to work over the past week 😛 I decided to pay the area a visit this morning after yesterday’s overnight call at work. I managed to catch a number of shots I was happy with although I wished I could have stayed on longer (that was not possible since I needed to catch up on sleep! :P). I will definitely be visiting the area again some time soon!

Strolling By The Beach

Strolling By The Beach
I revisited Changi Jetty early yesterday morning again. At CY’s comment that my pictures taken there were getting boring with the same repetitive subjects, I trained my camera elsewhere. Initially, only the lone figure sat on the bench in this silhouette scene. As the morning progressed, more activities began to take place around. I was lucky to catch the lady with the pram walking in step with her partner, who was carrying the child in his arms. To fill up the blank void towards the right, I have additionally composited the extra figures on the right of the frame. The original shot was mostly monochromatic in nature. I have converted it to full monochrome with a sepia tint added in for the final output.
