Around Together

Around Together
After years of wanting to take part (in the previous years, I have either been away or was busy with work), I finally took part in my very first Canon PhotoMarathon which took place yesterday. Three photo themes were announced at three-hourly intervals with photographers going around trying to capture a photograph that matched the theme announced. The second theme announced was a Japanese term called Kyosei which was translated as “Living and Working Together For the Common Good”. The above photograph was one that I shortlisted (but ultimately did not choose) for submission for this theme. Ignoring the themes, this one one of favourites from the day that I was pretty pleased with.

Lunching At Work

Lunching At Work
From our family trip to Perth, Australia, earlier this year… Photography while travelling with a toddler in tow is definitely more challenging. However, the extra responsibility did not stop me from noticing this scene during our visit to the Fremantle Market of a bored-looking lady tending her stall while getting her lunch. The expression on her face, the lighting as well as the colourful display attracted me to take this picture. The “stealth” capability of a much smaller micro-4/3 system also allowed me to take the shot without attracting her attention 😛
