Reflecting On The Armadillo

Reflecting On The Armadillo
I had this picture in mind when I came across this scene at the new BBC Building in Glasgow, located on the opposite side of the Clyde River, across the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). This time round, I wasn’t lucky enough to get two candid human subjects to add to the picture though. The lighting conditions were different too – for this shot, I had to do some HDR processing due to the lighting ratio. I like the final effect I managed to achieve though, as well as the lines and patterns in the composition 😀

A Glorious Morning At The Lowry

A Glorious Morning At The Lowry
I made my way up to Manchester to meet up with my brother and my parents after attending a conference in London earlier this month. I have read about The Lowry at Salford Quays in an earlier issue of Photography Monthly and was struck by the architectural photography potential the place had to offer. The place itself certainly did not disappoint! I was certainly lucky to have gotten some sunshine and blue skies in between the terrible wet weather that has been plaguing the UK of late.

It’s time for a holiday again… Overseas holidays have become a little more expensive since marriage. As CY can only take leave from work during the peak holiday season, we have to pay the holiday premiums and put up with the travelling hordes. Looking forward to bring you more travel photography when I get back next week from Japan 😀
