Barcoded Steps

Barcoded Steps
The morning sunlight cast against these steps leading to The Lowry in Manchester created interesting patterns of light and shadow, creating an almost abstract picture when taken up close. Photography is in essence, painting with light (and shadow) and this picture exemplifies this concept.

Talking about light and shadow, my father will be exhibiting close to 400 photographs in a solo exhibition that chronicles his involvement with photography for the past 50 years. If you are in Singapore, the exhibition might well worth a visit! More details at https://www.lite-n-shadow.com

Liquid Gold

Liquid Gold
I had my gear all packed for a visit to the new Marina Barrage last weekend for some photography but was disappointed by foul weather. Back home, I decided to try some abstract photography with rain water droplets on a window pane. I initially attempted to recreate this picture that I did a couple of years ago. Ultimately, I was more happy with this particular shot with a different view. The colours presented are as they are: the golden glow came from the street lamps along the expressway outside.
