Searching For Vader

Searching For Vader
I made two trips down to Changi International Airport today… first to send off CY and my in-laws on their holiday trip to Hong Kong, then later in the day to send EK off on his trip back to Glasgow, UK. The above was taken at Terminal 2 at Changi with my mobile phone’s little 2-megapixel camera (I did not bring my 20D since I wasn’t expecting photography). The original image has been rotated and flipped. I am almost tempted to add a Darth Vader or Obi-Wan Kenobi in digitally :P. Perhaps George Lucas might be interested to film further Star Wars productions at Changi 😉

ARPS #8 – Another Gateway Within

Another architectural picture from my ARPS panel…

Another Gateway Within shows an almost abstract view of one of the Gateway Towers reflected in the other. Designed by internationally-acclaimed architect, I.M. Pei, the Gateway Towers overlook Beach Road just outside the city of Singapore. These unusual and high-tech looking towers are shaped geometrically such that from a certain angle, the towers look flat and two-dimensional, with a lack of depth, as if they were merely a flat plates planted vertically into the ground.

Green With Envy

Another shot from the same outing at the Botanical Gardens last weekend…

The backlit leaves of the palm trees near the Ginger Garden has always attracted me as a place for good, close-up abstract-pattern shots. I like this particular one for the fan-like bright backlit leaf in the background contrasting with the darker green of the foreground one. Can anyone think of a better title for this one? So far my mind has drawn blanks as to what to call this… so Lusciously Green it will remain for now 😛

Update – The photo has been renamed Green With Envy … see the comments on what led to this!
