I always start any comments with what I like, so the colour here is great. Real nice balance. Shadows help lead the eye and the tree works without being fully shown. You allowed the view to start developing the rest of the picture.
Water lines, be it on rivers, sea’s or lakes is not easy. The horizion lets this picture down. Along with the bench I feel like falling out of the picture on the left hand side. The tree and the wall don’t help this.

With regards to the horizon, do take a look at an alternative to this picture I took here. I think the horizon for that shot might appeal to you more 😉
