ARPS #14 – Weighing The Scale
The second last picture from my ARPS Panel…
The amount of activity at the Tekka Market, Singapore never fails to surprise me. I caught this picture during one of my very first visits to the market in 2003. The balcony overlooking the main market area provided me with a refreshing overhead angle with which I captured the activity of this busy seafood stall. To emphasize the layout of the stallholder and her customers further, I have applied selective masking and desaturation to the rest of the peripheral elements of the shot.
By the way, I have submitted one of my earlier posts, “Elation” for the photo challenge at Photo Friday. This week’s theme is “Success”. Do vote for me if you like the shot ๐
Interesting shot. It seems as though the central characters are in a different world, I believe the grey flooring gives that effect. I have to visit Tekka Market sometime. ๐
I love the color and activity of this shot.
Wonderful shot. I love the perspective and all the squares in the composition.
Awesome perspective! ๐
Another “signature” photo, Eng Loy! I was so taken by the colors and activity I didn’t even notice the color masking until I read it in your description. Very captivating.
Thanks everyone for the compliments ๐
Ashwin: Hope you get good pictures on your visit to Tekka!
James: I’m trying to define and further refine that “signature” look and feel in the hope of applying for the FRPS. Thanks for the kind feedback!
i love the pespective here
